FAQ

Common questions

Is PayPrairie CRA compliant?
Payroll calculations (CPP, QPP, EI, QPIP, and federal/provincial income tax) use CRA's published payroll deduction tables, updated annually. Year-end slips (T4, T4A, T5, T5008) and remittance amounts are prepared for you — actually filing/remitting to CRA is still done by you or your accountant through CRA's own channels.
Does it support Quebec payroll?
Yes. Quebec employees use QPP instead of CPP and pay QPIP (Quebec Parental Insurance Plan). PayPrairie handles both automatically based on the employee's province.
What happens after my free trial?
After 14 days you choose a plan and enter your payment details. If you don't upgrade, your account is paused — your data is never deleted.
Can my accountant access my account?
Yes. On the Professional and Enterprise plans you can invite team members with role-based access.
Is my payroll data secure?
Each company gets a completely isolated database (multi-tenant architecture). Your data is never mixed with another company's data, and all connections use SSL.
Do I need to know payroll to use PayPrairie?
No. If you know your employees' pay rate and province, PayPrairie handles the calculations automatically.
